Disclosed are a tracking system and a tracking method using same which can minimize the limitations of a surgery room by reducing the production costs of devices and making them compact by enabling the calculation of three-dimensional coordinates of each marker with only one image forming unit. In the tracking system and the tracking method using the same, light irradiated from each of markers passes through a lens array unit equipped with at least one pair of lenses, and marker images corresponding to the number of lenses equipped in the lens array unit for each marker are formed on the image forming unit so that the three-dimensional coordinates of each marker are calculated through trigonometry with only one image forming unit and so that the position in space and direction of objects can be calculated and checked. Accordingly, the tracking system and the tracking method using the same have the effect of reducing the limitations of an operation room versus when the current tracking systems are used because production costs for the tracking system are reduced and a reduction in weight is realized
